Nuisance Motorbike in Bethersden! |
Following two separate calls to Kent Police yesterday afternoon, reporting a pit style motorbike being ridden along Etchden Road, Bethersden and around Park Lane, Great Chart, Officers have located the suspected bike with help from the initial informants.
It had been reported the bike had no licence plates, was ridden at speed with up to two persons on the back, both with and without helmets, whilst doing so on public roads and private land.
During enquiries this afternoon, Officers attended an address in Bethersden and have identified the bike and its rider. A Section 59 Warning was issued to the rider in the presence of his parents and suitable words of advice given regarding the alleged traffic offences involved. The Section 59 Warning means that should the rider be stopped with this bike or another, in the next 12 months, and be causing Anti-Social Behaviour, then that bike would be seized under the Police Reform Act 2002.
